stori

How can we help?

Support for parents and guardians. Updated 17 September 2026.

Email freya@frederickjames.net for help with stori. Tell us what happened, your iPhone model and app version. For missing stories or credits, use Share support ID in the app’s Settings and include that ID in your email. Please leave out children’s personal details, payment-card details and private device credentials.

Stories and credits

One new AI-generated narrated story costs one story credit. Replaying a saved story does not use another credit. Weekly and monthly subscriptions provide 3 story credits each week while active; the one-time pack provides 5 credits without a subscription. Check the purchase screen for your local price and billing period.

Story creation needs an internet connection. If a story is taking longer than expected, reopen the app and let it reconnect before starting another story. A generation that fails receives its story credit back. If the story or credit is still missing, email us with your support ID.

Purchases and subscriptions

If an active subscription is not recognised, choose Restore purchases in the app’s Settings, using the Apple Account that made the purchase. For a missing one-time credit pack, contact us with your support ID; restoring purchases does not create a new credit pack.

To manage or cancel renewal, open your iPhone’s Settings → your name → Subscriptions → stori. Apple handles billing and payment refunds. Deleting stori or deleting your stori account does not cancel a subscription.

Keeping your library

Sign-in is optional. Choose Connect library in the app’s Settings and use Sign in with Apple to connect your cloud library. Use the same Apple Account when recovering it on another device or after reinstalling. If Apple sign-in cannot finish, check that you are signed in to your Apple Account in your iPhone’s Settings, then try again.

Guest server copies expire after 30 days, although stories already downloaded to your device remain playable. Connect your library before changing devices or reinstalling if you want to recover your stories. Connected cloud libraries remain until deleted.

Parental controls and AI permission

A parent or guardian reviews the data-protection notice before the first AI generation. Purchases, account connection and external links use a separate birth-year check. The year is checked on the device and is not saved or sent to us.

In the app’s Settings, turn on Pause story creation to pause new stories, or turn off AI permission to withdraw permission. Keep story ideas fictional and avoid real names, schools, addresses or other personal details. Please preview AI-generated stories before your child listens.

Report a story

If a generated story is unsuitable or something sounds wrong, use its report option or email us with the story title and your support ID. Describe the issue without including your child’s personal information.

Delete your data

Choose Delete account and data in the app’s Settings, including if you have not signed in with Apple. This permanently removes your generated library and account data, and unused credits are lost. Apple-connected accounts require Apple confirmation. If deletion is pending, reconnect and reopen the app so it can finish.

Account deletion does not cancel Apple billing or remove copies exported elsewhere. For help with access or deletion, email us with your support ID. Read our privacy notice for the full storage and deletion details.
